Logline
Johnny Vagina is the story of a young prostitute’s son born in a remote village in the Amazon jungle called Santa Elena De Guairen. From humble beginnings, Johnny Vagina became a successful and prominent plastic surgeon in Brazil. He soon discovers that he is the only live male descendant of a strictly female tribe that existed thousands of years ago and that his mission is to save the Amazon and its inhabitants from exploitation and devastation.
Synopsis
The story begins with Petra, a young prostitute who gives birth in a small town maternity hospital in South America. During childbirth, the baby kept refusing the doctor’s repeated efforts to pull him out of the mother’s birth canal and fought to stay in her vagina causing her immense pain and blood loss. Once in his mother’s arms, she’s asked for the baby’s name. She thought for a moment. She has no idea who the father is so has no last name and he was born on the day of St. John, so she decides to name her baby Johnny Vagina in honor of St. John and her baby’s love for her vagina.
And so commences the legend of the Guardian Angel of the Amazon.
Petra is a nomadic prostitute who always brought her young child with her to work. As a result, Johnny becomes very well known in all the brothels in the region. One day, an old miner, Richard El Garimpeiro, recognizes Petra. He tells her the story about her mother, Petra Puerta and her baby. Richard had fallen in love with Petra Puerta and Jacinta, another prostitute who worked in the same brothel, stole the newborn baby out of jealousy. Richard had gifted Petra Puerta a beautiful, rare diamond. Jacinta demanded the diamond in exchange for Petra Puerta’s baby. However, when Petra Puerta came for the exchange, she took the diamond and never returned the baby to Petra Puerta. Torn and depressed, Petra Puerta sought refuge returning to the very jungle where she was born and disappeared forever. Richard tells Petra that he has never stopped searching for her and her mother but that his search is now over having found her. Richard, who is an extremely wealthy businessman, takes Petra and her young son, Johnny, to live with him in Rio de Janeiro.
Johnny Vagina grows up in luxury and graduates in medicine from the top universities around the world. He becomes a famous plastic surgeon in Brazil, specializing in vaginal reconstruction and genital implants. His patients are equally famous and influential, including his best friend, La Diva de Oro, a wealthy transgender singer and mistress of the president of Brazil. Dr. Vagina is also active in philanthropy and a black belt in martial arts.
Johnny soon learns that his mother, Petra, is one of the last two survivors of an all-woman tribe who practice parthenogenesis. By simulating sexual activities between themselves, they procreate without male interaction and the result is always another female. They called themselves the Eco-Warriors. The tribe's mission was to protect the Amazonian ecosystem against those who exploit and destroy natural resources of planet earth.
