J. Greg Chirino

Screenwriter, Composer & Film Producer

J. Greg (Lolo) Chirino was born in Caracas, Venezuela and studied Law and Sociology at the Universidad Central before venturing to the United States in the early nineties to develop his talent as a screenwriter, composer, and musician. He settled in South Beach, Florida where he became a familiar name and face in the art and cultural scene.

With guitar in hand, Lolo auditioned for a local talent competition sponsored by the McDonald Corporation and was selected as the one-and-only finalist out of more than 1000 entries. The prize financed a top-notch showcase for the entertainment media and music industry — attended by more than 1500 — at the Coconut Grove Playhouse.

Lolo also composed, produced, and recorded “El Rey de Las Gordas,” a nine-track recording in the Latin Rock music genre, in his distinctive “Tex-Mex” style. In addition to both his lead and background vocals on all the tracks, he plays the drums and acoustic guitar, which classifies him as a multi-talented artist.

Several short scripts were purchased and produced by Discovery Channel which were extremely well received by viewers, including “Photo Boom” and “The Dog Seller.”
